OUR MISSION
The office of the Clark
County Prosecuting Attorney is charged with the
responsibility of representing the State of Ohio in all
felony prosecutions resulting from crimes committed
within Clark County, Ohio. In addition, the Clark
County Prosecuting Attorney convenes and conducts Grand
Jury proceedings, conducts juvenile prosecutions,
including felony, misdemeanor, and traffic cases,
provides information and assistance to the victims of
crime, and represents various Clark County governmental
offices, and Townships.
The
Criminal Division
is dedicated to providing members of our community with
a safe place to live by holding the guilty accountable,
and protecting the innocent through felony
investigations, and prosecutions.
The
Civil Division
promotes good, efficient government through the
effective representation of all County and Township
governmental agencies within Clark County.
The
Juvenile Division
seeks to help rehabilitate the children of Clark
County through delinquency prosecutions in matters
involving criminal, and traffic offenses perpetrated by
those who are under the age of 18. Also, the Juvenile
Division helps to protect children by instituting child
abuse, neglect, and dependency cases with the goal of
helping to improve the family situation, but also
resulting in the termination of parental rights in the
most severe cases.
The
Victim Witness
Division seeks to assist victims and witnesses as
their cases progress through the criminal justice
system.
