Lieutenant Joy D. Danley-Gilliland has been a member of the Clark County Sheriff’s Office over the past 27 years, beginning her career April 29, 1985, as a secretary in the Sheriff’s Main Office. Lt. Danley is a life-long resident of Clark County and a 1984 graduate of Kenton Ridge High School.

Over the past 27 years she has been assigned to the Jail Division, Criminal Investigations Division and the Staff Services / Communications Division. She was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in May of 2005. Prior to Lt. Danley-Gilliland’s promotion she served as the Sergeant in Charge of Staff Services / Communications. She also has been a Sergeant in the Jail Division.

During Lt. Danley-Gillilland’s career at the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, she has received numerous awards including the Meritorious Service Award, Attendance and Service Awards as well as the Sheriff’s Award, the highest commendation a Clark County Deputy Sheriff can receive. In 2010 Lt. Danley-Gilliland received the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Command Officer of the Year Award.

Lt. Danley-Gilliland currently serves as the Commander of the Jail Division and the Staff Services / Communications Division.
