Mr. Bruce C. Smith,
Clark County Engineer is pleased to announce the reconstruction
of the St. Paris Pike Bridge over Mad River. The work includes
the rehabilitation of the existing bridge, with a new three span
steel beam superstructure on existing piers and reconstructed
integral abutments. Additionally, 250 feet of St. Paris Pike will
be reconstructed in conjunction with the bridge project. The
road will be closed on July 31, 2008 and remain closed
approximately 75 days to through traffic. Motorist will be
detoured onto Bechtle Ave., Eagle City Road and St. Paris Pike.
The project completion date is November 14, 2008
The contractor, Eagle
Bridge Company of Sidney, Ohio was the low bidder at $654,767.21
and Clark County received 80% federal funds towards the project,
with the balance matched by Engineer’s Department with local
revenue.
The Clark County
Engineer’s Department will be assisted by DLZ Ohio, Inc. to
