    The Clark County Sheriff's Office has a contract with the City of New Carlisle to have deputies permanently assigned to the city limits. Deputies are assigned work times based on the needs of the city. These Deputies handle all calls and traffic as well as City of New Carlisle issues while on duty.

    Currently these deputies are working the New Carlisle area:
  • Deputy Nick Moody

Deputy Moody attended Kenton Ridge High School and Clark County Joint Vocational School. He completed his Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training at Clark State Community College in 2008. Deputy Moody was hired with the Sheriff’s Office in March 2008 as a Cadet in the Uniform Patrol Division. Deputy Moody was sworn in as Reserve Deputy in 2009 and was also hired as a full-time dispatcher that same year.  He was hired as a full time deputy in 2011 and was assigned to the jail division. During his time in the jail division, Deputy Moody received an award for meritorious service and perfect attendance.

In October 2014, Deputy Moody was assigned to the road patrol in Moorefield Township where he worked in a community policing role. After transferring from this position to the Road Patrol division, he completed Critical Incident Training and became CIT certified in 2016. Deputy Moody completed basic and intermediate crash investigation through the Ohio State Highway Patrol Training Academy in 2017. He recorded the most criminal arrests in the Sheriff’s Office during 2018.
      Deputy Moody has served as a Field Training Officer in the Jail and Road Patrol divisions. In this role, he has trained many new deputies at the Sheriff’s Office.

      In 2019, Deputy Moody transferred to the City of New Carlisle where he is currently assigned. He enjoys community policing and getting to know the citizens and business owners in his area.

      • Deputy Elizabeth Beistline

      Deputy Elizabeth Beistline has worked full-time for the Sheriff's Office the last six years. Prior to that, she served as a reserve deputy. She graduated from the Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy at Clark State Community College and also earned an Associates Degree.  She also attended Wright State University.  Deputy Beistline describes her career goal is to work hard, get stripes and try to make it to the top before she retires. Deputy Beistline is currently assigned to third shift road patrol in New Carlisle.

      • Deputy Cesar Gonzalez

       Deputy Cesar Gonzalez has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office for 9 year.  He is currently assigned to road patrol in New Carlisle. After moving to Ohio, Deputy Gonzalez received an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and then completed his Peace Officer Training both from Clark State Community College. While employed at the Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Gonzalez has been assigned to the Jail and Road Patrol divisions.

      • Deputy Kenneth Majercak     

      Deputy Ken Majercak began his career at the Sheriff’s Office in May of 2011. He has worked in the Jail Division and Road Patrol Division. Deputy Majercak previously held a community oriented policing position previously for the City of New Carlisle and Moorefield Township.

      Prior to starting with the Sheriff’s Office, he has worked as a peace officer for jurisdictions both within and outside of Clark County since 1993. Deputy Majercak has been a nominee for Officer of the Year. Although he was not selected, Deputy Majercak feels it was a great honor to be nominated. Deputy Majercak has attended a bike patrol class in Columbus, Ohio and is a certified bike patrol officer. The citizens of New Carlisle are once again being well served by his knowledge and experience.
