Annual Tree and Fish Sale

 

 

 

 

 

Each year the Clark Soil and Water Conservation District offers fish fingerlings, trees, wildflower seeds, bluebird and wren nesting boxes as well as bird feeders for you to purchase. The species of fish and trees we  choose should provide you with a well-rounded variety that will fit into your pond or landscape plans. Please note that these trees are bare-root seedlings and your best chance for survival is to place them in the ground as soon as you take delivery.

Those short and tall, woody plants with leaves or needles are one of natures wonders. From the air we breath, to a 2x4 in our home’s wall, we cannot live without trees! Trees improve our quality of life in many ways, and here are just a few:

Get your trees off to a good start by following some helpful tips…

·        Plant the right trees in the right place

·        Plant properly

·        Before you fertilize, have a soil test done.

·        When in doubt of what to do about insects, diseases or treatments, contact the county extension agent

·        Prune correctly and at the right time of year
