LOWER VALLEY PIKE ROAD CONSTRUCTION

CURRENT CLOSURE DETAILS:
Lower Valley Pike between Gerlaugh Road and West Street (Medway) will be closed from Wednesday, May 31st to Friday, June 17th for road reconstruction.

Lower Valley Pike between South Hampton Road and Enon Road will be closed from Tuesday, May 17th to Friday, June 17th for bridge replacements.

Construction is continuing on the replacement of Bridge 1229 over Donnels Creek. Due to complications with beam delivery and the resulting delays, the completion date for the bridge is undetermined at this time and will be contingent on weather conditions.

Access to local residences will be maintained and detours will be posted.

Work on County Road 316 - Lower Valley Pike is scheduled to start on Monday, June 15, 2015 and will continue throughout the 2015 construction season. The new work will include paved shoulders and improved shoulder width from Osborn Road to the west Medway corporate limits and from the east Medway corporate limits to Enon Road. Ditch setbacks and driveway adjustments will be undertaken as necessary to accommodate the improvements. Other improvements include:

Replace three bridges:
Bridge 1228, SFN 1230003, Jackson Creek – Full replacement
Bridge 1229, SFN 1230004, Donnels Creek – Full replacement
Bridge 1230, SFN 1230005, Minich Ditch – Full replacement – 3 sided culvert
Drainage improvements at key locations throughout the corridor.
Resurface Lower Valley Pike from Osborne Road to State Route 369, including Medway.

Lower Valley Pike will be closed to through traffic and detours posted accordingly. Traffic will be maintained to residents and all businesses within the closed sections. Your patience throughout this process is appreciated. Please watch for changes in traffic patterns and follow signs accordingly.
