Commission office to reduce hours on Friday afternoons

The Clark County Commission Office, located on the fifth floor of the Clark County Municipal Courthouse, 50 E. Columbia St., will close at 1 p.m. on Friday afternoons starting June 12 for the remainder of 2020. The reduction in hours will accommodate staffing issues caused by furloughs during the COVID-19 pandemic and aligns with employees at the Springview Government Center. The other offices at the Municipal Courthouse will remain open to the public normal business hours.

Social distancing guidelines remain in place in all Clark County buildings to better serve both residents and county employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. The county recently installed barriers in certain areas to limit interaction with the public and protect employees. The county is strongly encouraging those seeking in-person services to take several precautions including:

• Submitting temperature checks.

• Wearing appropriate face coverings out of respect for others.

• Maintaining social/physical distancing of six feet at all times.
