SPRINGFIELD, OHIO (JULY 7, 2020) — The Clark County Community and Economic Development Department and the Clark County Personnel Department, located at the Springview Government Center, 3130 E. Main St. in Springfield, will re-open to the public on Thursday, July 9.
The Board of Clark County Commissioners closed the departments on June 30 after a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
The positive case was reported to the Clark County Combined Health District and contact tracing was performed to alert individuals who may have been exposed to the virus. No other employees tested positive for the virus.
Employees will return to the office on Thursday after being cleared for re-opening by the health district. The office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. The office is closing early on Fridays through 2020 to accommodate staffing issues caused by furloughs during this unprecedented situation.
Social distancing guidelines remain in place in all Clark County buildings to better serve both residents and county employees during the COVID-19 pandemic. The county recently installed barriers in certain areas to limit interaction with the public and protect employees. The county is strongly encouraging those seeking in-person services to take several precautions including:
• Submitting temperature checks.
• Wearing appropriate face coverings out of respect for others.
• Maintaining social/physical distancing of six feet at all times.
