SPRINGFIELD, OH (DEC. 28, 2020) — The Clark County Utilities Department will not raise rates for the majority of customers in its 13 water and sewer districts in 2021.

Three districts — Maplewood, Rockway and Limecrest — will receive contractual pass through water rate increases due to obligations set forth by the Combined Economic Development Agreement (CEDA) in Springfield Twp. The remaining water and sewer districts will not receive a rate increase in 2021.

“We felt it was best for our customers to limit rate increases as much as possible for the upcoming year due to the COVID-19 pandemic," said Utilities Director Chuck Bauer. "We will continue to examine our rate structure to ensure our customers receive the most efficient service possible moving forward."

The Board of Clark County Commissioners approved the 2021 rates at its meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 16.
