County Line Road Bridge Rehabilitation
Replacement of County Line Road Bridge No. 279 will start on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 and continue until October 17, 2014. The project is located in German Township, Clark County and Mad River Township, Champaign County at the intersection of Upper Valley Pike, Storms Creek Road and County Line Road. The location is approximately 5 miles north of Springfield, Ohio and 1½ miles west of State Route 68 along County Line Road.
The project consists of the replacement of Bridge No. 279, a single span pre-stressed box beam bridge over Storms Creek. It will include the replacement of the existing bridge with a three sided precast reinforced concrete arch culvert on capped pile footings. In addition, the project includes full depth profile improvements to Valley Pike and constructing aligned approaches with the intersecting side roads.
