Adult Probation

The Clark County Adult Probation Department has supervisory responsibility of offenders who have been convicted of a felony and who the court has placed on community control in lieu of being sentenced to the Ohio State Penitentiary.

Offenders placed on community control must comply with the standard conditions of probation along with all special requirements ordered by the sentencing court which may include but are not limited to;

  • drug and alcohol treatment
  • employment
  • job readiness programs
  • mental heath treatment
  • electronic monitoring
  • community service
  • drug and alcohol testing

The Clark County Adult Probation Department has six probation officers. Four officers provide supervision for offenders placed on Basic Supervision and two supervise offenders placed on Intensive Supervision. In addition to supervising duties, probation staff are also responsible for conducting all presentence investigations and other reports submitted to the court for sentencing purposes.
