How It Works
The prepayment plan provides for monthly payment of current semi-annual real estate taxes. The taxpayer must enter into a real estate escrow agreement with the Treasurer’s Office that lays out the terms and conditions of the program. The Treasurer’s Office will determine the monthly payment by dividing the current year’s semi-annual real estate tax into equal monthly payments.
Monthly coupons which represent an estimated monthly payment are prepared and provided to the taxpayer. Payments will be accepted in amounts greater or lesser than the estimated amount. Monthly payments can be made at the taxpayer’s convenience.
Accepted Payment Methods
Payments can be made by cash, check, money order, or ACH Debit with your financial institution or bank.
Tax Bills & Unpaid Balances
Prior to the due date of each half of real estate taxes, the taxpayer will receive a tax bill reflecting total prepayments received and any balance due and unpaid. Any unpaid balance must be paid in full, on or before the due date to avoid a late penalty fee.
Note: This is an optional program for the payment of current real estate taxes. There is no service charge for using this program.
